About the artist

John Paul Lavertu has been doing artwork his whole life, or as much as he remembers anyway. After college, he did hard time as a graphic artist and illustrator. During that period he continued to pursue his own art work and attended the Art Students League of New York, which included studying with Larry Poons. Shortly thereafter he was a studio assistant for Sol LeWitt. He has had exhibits in New York as well as at The Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, MA.

He enjoys music, reading and daydreaming. He also likes to travel.
